InVenture Moves! (forward and into a New Office)

June 6, 2011
I think that going to work used to mean cramming four laptops around a small table in a shrinking apartment, makes InVenture sound like college all over again. The reality is that start-ups have to actually start somewhere — in this case, it was in the spare room of Shivani Siroya’s (InVenture CEO/Founder) humble apartment where the InVenture brainstorming grew its roots.
More than a year after celebrating InVenture’s one year anniversary, the InVenture address has also graduated to room with a view. Actually, InVenture is proud to be the very first tenant in a brand-spanking-new shared office space in Santa Monica and only blocks away from the Pacific Ocean beachfront. This is especially important for meetings in the sand or surfing retreats — just kidding. Real work actually gets done.

But InVenture also geeks out when it comes to interior design — including posting a copy of the 2011 Economist calendar which has dates like the G20 Summit meeting in September and historic World Bank milestones.
This private office space — equipped with landline phones, brick walls and cabinet drawers on wheels — is just the start of BlankSpace’s concept in creative space and tech-friendly approaches. InVenture has access to conference rooms and large screens to connect people across Skype bandwidth.

InVenture has certainly outgrown its college years — but is still impressionable to new ideas. The recent move is the start of some exciting journeys to be shared among fellow social entrepreneurs, start-ups and to the InVenture family of followers. So, if you’re ever in LA, stop by the new InVenture office on 2nd Street and ask for a grand tour! Bring your laptop too — there’s certainly enough room.
